University College London, London
Established In : 1826
University Description University College London (UCL) was established in 1826 as London University: the first university
institution to be founded in London; the first British university to be established
on an entirely secular basis; and the first British university to admit students regardless of their religion or gender.
UCL is a member of the Russell Group of Universities, a part of the G5 sub-group of super-elite UK universities, a part of the Golden Triangle, the European University Association, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and the League of European Research Universities. According to the latest U.S. News & World Report, UCL is ranked 7th in the World's Best Colleges and Universities and 4th in the Top British and European Universities after Oxford, Cambridge and Imperial College London.
Although UCL voluntarily remains a constituent college of the University of London, it is in many ways comparable with free-standing, self-governing and independently funded universities, awarding its own degrees. Today, with over 8,200 staff and 25,000 students, UCL is larger than most other universities in the United Kingdom. Courses/ Programs offered by University College London
